MANILA, (PIA) -- The City Government of Navotas distributed 335 smart TVs and 169 ceiling fans to 12 public elementary and high schools.
The Navotas Schools Division Office also received three smart TVs and fans for its newly-completed Media Center and Conference Room.
“Our goal is to provide Navoteño students with the best learning environment,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said. “Students who feel comfortable and safe will be able to study harder and learn more.”
One smart TV and two ceiling fans were allotted to each classroom of the newly-built four story school buildings in the city.
Among the beneficiaries were Bangkulasi Elementary School, Kapitbahayan Elementary School, Navotas Central and Navotas 1 Elementary Schools, San Rafael Village Elementary School, San Roque Elementary School; Tangos Elementary School, and Tangos 1 Elementary School.
Secondary school recipients included Tanza National High School, San Rafael Tech-Voc High School, San Roque National High School, and Tangos National High School.
In March this year, Navotas inaugurated 11 newly-constructed four-story school buildings.
Last September, the city started construction of nine additional school buildings. (PIA-NCR)
