24 PWDs receive livelihood assistance

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 24 Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) received livelihood assistance from the city government here through the Persons With Disability Affairs Office (PDAO).

PDAO Officer Jonathan Galutera led the distribution P5,000 financial assistance to each identified qualified beneficiary.

Galutera said the city government is continuously extending assistance to PWDs in the city to make them productive despite of their physical disabilities.

He said that aside from providing livelihood assistance, the city government and the Provincial Government of Isabela also provides assistive devices to the PWDs in the city.

He said the City Government supports the celebration of International Day of Persons With Disabilities set on December 8.

Galutera said his office will also report to the PWDs in the city its accomplishments for 2022 and the future undertakings for 2023.

Meanwhile, aside from the provision of livelihood assistance to PWDs, at least 64 PWD students from the city are also beneficiaries of educational assistance from the city government.

He also said the city government provides educational assistance not only for PWDs but also to Cauayeno college students as a regular program of the city government. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
