TESDA-PAMAMARISAN joins observance of VAWC, provides vocational training to PDL at CIW

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-PAMAMARISAN District, conducted a vocational training for persons deprived of liberty (PDL) at the Correctional Institution for Women.

The activity, held on December 7, 2022 was conducted in support of the 18-day campaign with the theme "UNITED for VAW-free Philippines".

TESDA-PAMAMARISAN District Director Mr. Leonardo E. Pinlac led the successful conduct of livelihood skills training particularly in meat processing, distribution of food packs, health and beauty kits among the PDL.

CInsp. James Calingayan, Deputy Chief of Security and Operations cited the importance of training so that when the time comes for the offenders to get their freedom back, they can use their acquired skills to earn a decent living. (tesda/pia-ncr)
