BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently turned over a Community Potable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (CPWASH) project to upland farmers of Ambaguio town.

The P80,000.00 – worth CPWASH project was turned-over to the members of the  Tiblak Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (TFAC).

Engr. Rustico R. Turingan, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer said that the project  is part of DAR’s  Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) program which seeks to  improve the living conditions of farmers through product development.

“This project would enable the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Officer (ARBO) to venture into the development of other products not only in coffee processing but for other possible enterprises in the future for the benefit of members of the organization,” he said.

Turingan said that the CPWASH project is composed of  Iron Removal Filter and Rain-Water Collector that will help TFAC members for the  processing of their products and the LGU in the provision of Basic Social Services (BSS) in the area.

He said that the DAR is grateful to the ARBO for being their partner in rural development.

“The provision of this project would considerably contribute in improving the income of the ARBO and alleviate the economic condition of the community,” Turingan said. (JKC/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
