PSA targets 962 WV households in latest survey

ILOILO CITY (PIA) - - A total of 962 sample households in Western Visayas will participate in the survey to be conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) VI from February 6 to 17 this year.

The second round of Survey on Costs and Returns (SCR) of palay production is aiming to generate and update the data on the cost structure of palay production and average use of materials and labor inputs, measure profitability, and other socio-economic characteristics of palay farming.

It has a reference period from July to December 2022.  The first round, with January to June 2022 as the reference period, was conducted in July 2022.

The data items to be collected from the undertaking include, among others, sample identification, basic characteristics of the sample farm; farm investments,  materials inputs, labor inputs, other production costs, basic marketing and credit information, access to support services, problems related to production and marketing, and effects of climate change.  

In line with this, the hiring of Statistical Researchers (SRs) will be posted on PSA Provincial Statistical Offices premises and respective social media accounts.

PSA VI is encouraging sample households to provide required information to authorized SRs during the personal interview. (JBG/PSA6/laf/PIA6-Iloilo)
