Calapan LGU distributes EduFAP to students of City College

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – The City Government of Calapan recently distributed to 2,246 scholars of City College of Calapan (CCC) the P2,500 per student financial assistance under the local government’s Educational Financial Assistance Program (EduPAF) held at the Kalap Hall.

The EduPAF was passed through City Ordinance No. 68-2020 which aims to provide financial assistance to qualified and deserving students of CCC.

In addition to this, even students enrolled in the institution and who are not residents of Calapan City were also included as beneficiaries of the program.

City Education Officer Myriam Lorraine Olalia and the faculty members headed by City College Administrator Dr. Ronald F. Cantos led the distribution of said financial assistance.

In her statement to students, Mayor Malou Morillo told students that they are the ones who can help their families.  She even encouraged each scholar recipient to study hard and assured them that the city government would provide quality education for all students.  (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
