DTI conducts seminar for marginal Ivatan farmers

BASCO, Batanes (PIA) - - The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Batanes recently conducted Basics of Marketing Seminar for members of Marginal Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MFMPC) in Barangay Itbud, Uyugan and Brgy. San Antonio, Basco this province.

DTI R2 Batanes Information Officer Shane B. Horlina said the training aims to capacitate the 30 participants on how to identify the target market, enhance their marketing skills, and capacitate them to formulate effective marketing strategies to increase their income this 2023.

Horlina said a total of 30 MFMPC members participated in the said seminar who are beneficiaries of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. 

She also said the trainers dicussed the importance of marketing in business planning, decision making and revenue generation.
