Quirino Shopee Store to open soon

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The provincial government has announced that they are currently processing the requirements for the upcoming official launch of Quirino Shopee Store.

Governor Dax Cua said the Quirino Shopee team which he leads, along with provincial the OTOP Hub, Tourism Office and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), had already attended an onboarding training dubbed Shopee University held at Ortigas Center, Madaluyong City.

During the training, orientation on Shopee Operations, Policies, Guidelines and Marketing Strategies were discussed and it was followed by a walking tour of the office facilities.

The provincial government thru OTOP Hub Center will manage the Shopee account with the help of the Tourism Office and the IT personnel who will assist in the uploading of products, handling customers’ queries and orders.

The DTI on the other hand will provide the list of MSMEs and ensure the readiness of the products in case of bulk orders.

Top selling products that will be featured are Robusta Coffee Beans and Ground Coffee, Fermented Cacao Beans and Artisanal Chocolates, Banana Chips, Ube Powder, Ginger and Turmeric Teas, Fossilized Flowers, Holiday Decors, and Home Furnishings and Handicraft items.

During the I Love Qurino on Air radio program with Provincial Administrator Carmelita Jimenez, she says that the main goal of Quirino Shopee Store is to help MSMEs reach a wider market for their products.

In a previous interview, Provincial Administrator Carmen Jimenez said the PLGU’s partnership with Shopee was conceptualized by Governor Dax Cua with the main goal of helping the MSMEs reach a wider market for their products. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
