SIQUIJOR, Siquijor, Feb. 20 (PIA) -- The local office of the Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA) here kicked off the 33rd Civil Registration Month celebration in February pursuant to Proclamation No. 682.
The celebration in the province of Siquijor was formally opened with a motorcade around the Municipality of Siquijor with PSA Siquijor Officer-in-Charge Joselito Maghanoy leading the activity in collaboration with the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs).

Thanksgiving Mass and Requiem Mass were offered for Divine intervention and in honor of the departed Provincial Statistics Officer, Municipal Civil Registrars and Civil Registry Clerks, who previously served for Civil Registration.
As the agency mandated to carry out the provisions of Act No. 3753, PSA leads this month-long celebration together with the LCROs in all cities and municipalities in the country .
This year's theme, “PSA @ 10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation” puts emphasis on carrying out the mandates of Civil Registration and providing vital statistics through digital means.
The celebrations aims to promote and advance public awareness and consciousness on the importance of Civil Registration in the lives of every Filipino.
