Guipos supports Pagadian City’s urbanization

ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, March 8 (PIA) -- The Municipal Council of Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, passed a resolution in support of the city's application to become a Highly Urbanized City, in a ground-breaking move that might alter the landscape of Pagadian City. The council unanimously agreed to adopt the resolution, with members expressing their confidence in Pagadian City's ability to lead and fulfill its promise.

Mayor Vicente "Dodo" Cajeta also expressed his support for the move, citing the economic benefits that come with being a Highly Urbanized City.

"This is a great opportunity for Pagadian to attract more investors and create more jobs for our people," he said.

The effort to classify Pagadian City as a Highly Urbanized City has gained traction as support from many parties has been expressed. Local authorities believed that by gaining this status, Pagadian City would have access to greater funding and resources for development, which might result in improved infrastructure, more employment possibilities, and faster economic growth.

Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur, is recognized for its breathtaking waterfalls, pristine beaches, and rich cultural heritage. It is believed that the city's bid to become a Highly Urbanized City will significantly advance its growth and development.
