ILIGAN CITY (PIA) --Gipailawom sa bag-ong estratehiya sa English language teaching ang 60 ka mga high school teachers sa mga hilit nga barangay sa Mandulog, Lanipao, Mainit, og Ditucalan niadtong Marso 3-5, 2023.

Gipanguluhan sa Department of English  sa Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT)  kauban ang  Faculty of English Language Education sa Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta   sa Indonesia ang training.

Pinaagi sa  community-service program nga gitawag nga “Communicate in English with Us”,  nakakat-on ang mga magtutudlo ug bag-ong abilidad ug estratehiya sa pagtudlo sa  English language isip instrumento sa komunikasyon. 

Natun-an usab nila ang klase-klaseng  Information and Communications Technology  sa differentiated instruction ug project based learning  aron mapromote ang inklusibong edukasyon.

“One of the topics discussed is the use of QR code, they will also be exposed to other ict techniques to be used in the classroom,” sumala ni  Merciditha Alicando, chairperson sa  Department of English sa  MSU-IIT. 

Samtang, nalipay si  Eko Purwanti, dean sa Faculty of Language and Education sa UMY ang partnership nila sa MSU-IIT aron mas mahanas pa ang mga magtutudlo.

“Having this partnership, we can provide better opportunities for teachers to empower themselves. By empowering our students with English competencies we believe that students can broaden their knowledge,” sumala ni Purwanti.

Mapalasalamaton sad ang mga magtutudlo sa maong programa kay nakakat-on sila sa mga stratehiya aron mas mapalambo pa ang ilang pagtudlo.

“The program really gives me a chance to improve myself the way I teach in English, especially in the form of macro skills. It really gives me a guide  on how to motivate my students on handling the plan,” sumala ni Mae Camañan, English teacher sa Tubaran National High School.

Gipaambit sad ni  Spencer Tano nga iyang nakat-unan ang importansya sa paggamit sa differentiated instructions (DI) sa pagtudlo sa mga leksyon base sa mga estilo sa pagkat-on sa estudyante. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
