Pasay lgu provides month-long ‘Juana Ride’ for women commuters

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The city government of Pasay is providing free transportation services for its women residents during the month-long celebration of National Women’s Month.

The program, dubbed as ‘Juana Ride,’ service vehicles are deployed to provide free rides starting March 6 to 31 from 9 AM to 2 PM for women in the general public while 3 PM to 5 PM for the women employees.

In a Facebook post, the local government said, pick-up point of the free rides is at the front of the Pasay City Hall while the designated drop-off points are as follows:

  • Malibay cor. C. Jose EDSA
  • Dominga St., Leveriza St. 
  • F.B. Harrison St. to Vito Cruz St., at Mall of Asia (MOA)
  • Libertad St. to M. Dela Cruz St.
  •  Protacio St. to Cabrera St. Cruz St.

The city government also conducted free lab tests for Juanas on March 11 (Saturday) which include ultrasound, Xray, and ECG services.

Mayor Emi Calixto also led a Zumba Dance Contest called ‘Indak Kababaihan’ at the Pasay City Hall Grounds to promote wellness among women through various exercises. (PIA-NCR)
