DOST, DTI mark Women’s Month with free services to female clients

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – As part of the celebration of National Women’s Month, national government agencies are offering their programs and services for their women clients, making the observance more inclusive and felt by Juanas across the province.
 
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Ilocos, through its Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) in Pangasinan,  offers a month-long free calibration services of all weighing scales and calibration fuel buckets of walk-in women clients.
 
The DOST is mandated to provide calibration services for mass, temperature, pressure, length, electricity, and small volume.
 
It uses state-of-the-art calibration equipment and instruments and calibration methods that conform to national and international standards.
 
To date, the PSTO-Pangasinan calibrated a total of 120 units of combined beam balance, salter scales, and infant weighing scales for free-of-charge to ensure the accuracy of these measuring equipment.
 
This is equivalent to a total of P37,900 value of assistance rendered to the 90 walk-in women clients.
 
PSTO-Pangasinan provides calibration services for mass and small volumes like calibrating buckets with an equivalent charge.
 
But as part of the promotion of calibration and other programs and services of the DOST, calibration services are given for free to all women clients until March 31, 2023.
 

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Pangasinan offers free coffee and chocolate bars to their women clients as part of the National Women's Month celebration.

Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Pangasinan also joins the celebration of Women’s Month by providing complimentary coffee and chocolate bars to all their clients visiting the office.
 
Natalia Dalaten, provincial director of DTI-Pangasinan, said “This is just a small way of showing our appreciation for the dedication and hard work of our women entrepreneurs and clients who have been instrumental in driving economic growth in our community.”
 
She added, “We believe that this celebration is a fitting tribute to our women entrepreneurs’ incredible accomplishments, and we hope that this tiny gesture expresses our gratitude and support for all that they do.”
 
Dalaten invited clients to drop by at their office located at the 2nd Floor of Star Building in Arellano Street of this city and enjoy a cup of coffee and chocolate bars which are offered for free until Friday. (JCR/AMB/PIA Pangasinan)
