Bong Go distributes aid in QC

MANILA, (PIA) -- Senator Christopher "Bong" Go continues to distribute aid to the poor after he personally led the relief activity in Brgy. Bagong Silangan, Commonwealth, Batasan Hills, Payatas, and Holy Spirit in Quezon City.

Held at SB Park in Brgy. Batasan Hills, Go and his team distributed grocery packs, vitamins, snacks, and masks to 500 poor residents.

They also provided selected individuals with new pairs of shoes, cellular phones, bicycles, and balls for basketball and volleyball.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development has given financial assistance to qualified residents.

Along with Councilor Mikey Belmonte, Go acknowledged the hard work of other local officials, including Congressman Ralph Tulfo, Mayor Joy Belmonte, Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, Councilor Godie Liban, and others.

As the chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go urged the people of the city to avail medical assistance from any of the 11 Malasakit Centers in QC.

Senator Go also led the inauguration of two new multipurpose buildings in Brgy. New East and Commonwealth.

The senator supported funding for two projects that will further improve public service delivery.

Go said the construction of multipurpose buildings will provide space for various activities, such as community meetings, gatherings and other events.

According to him, these public infrastructures will not only improve the quality of life of the residents in the barangays but will also help promote harmony and social interaction.

Quezon City has also allocated funds to the DOH for the construction of Super Health Centers in Brgys. Arsenia J. Maximo, Batasan Hills, Kamuning, Murphy, San Francisco, and V. Luna.
