MANILA, (PIA) -- National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/Major General Edgar Alan Okubo over the weekend personally inspected the airports, seaports and terminals in anticipation of the influx of passengers going home for Semana Santa or Holy Week.

PMGen. Okubo was briefed on the security situation at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City, Five Star Bus Liner in Quezon City, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in Parañaque City, DLTB Bus Terminal, Philippine Ports Authority (Asian Terminal Inc. and Manila North Port) in Manila, and Victory Liner Bus Terminal along EDSA.

During the said inspection, Okubo reiterated his guidance to the police to remain alert and vigilant while ensuring the safety and security of commuters.

The NCRPO also ensured that police visibility and established Police Assistance Desks (PADs) are strictly followed and monitored.

Because everyone's safety is the priority, aside from the police's readiness, the NCRPO regional director also reminded passengers of some safety measures and further checked the condition of the drivers.

Okubo asked for the cooperation of the public to report to the police authorities any suspicious person in their area through the NCRPO Text Hotline numbers 0915-888-8181 and 0999-901-8181. (PIA-NCR)
