Novo Vizcayanos praise Senator Go

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Novo Vizcayanos here have praised Senator Cristopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go as he visited the province and distributed various assistance to poor villagers over the weekend.

Go, along with actor Philip Salvador and TV personality Chinkee Tan, visited the Tam-an Banawe Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TBMPC) as the guest speaker of its 32nd General Assembly held at the Tam-an Hotel and Resort in this town.

The senator was also adopted by the TBMPC as son of ‘Tuwali’ sub-group tribe of the Ifugaos in Nueva Vizcaya.

Go was honored and praised for his assistance and initiative in funding various infrastructure projects in the province such as the P80 million Municipal Hall of Kayapa town, P20 million Ambaguio town hall, P15 million Multi-Purpose Building in Solano town, P50 million Multi-Purpose /Legislative Building in Quezon town and livelihood assistance funds such as the P45 million Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) through the DSWD and close to P35 million Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Go, who also visited the R2TMC and the town of Bayombong, distributed financial assistance and food packs to poor villagers through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), bikes, shoes, cellphones and sports equipment.

The senator urged Novo Vizcayanos, especially the poor to avail of the services of the Malasakit Center which he established at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) in 2021.

“We will sustain the funding requirements of our Malasakit Center to bring free health services for our poor villagers. Please do not hesitate to avail of its services,” Go said.

The Malasakit Center at the R2TMC caters to poor patients in Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao and Quirino provinces , among others.

He said the Malasakit Centers, spread out in the country was established to bring the taxes back to the Filipinos, especially the poor villagers through various medical assistance and services.

He also thanked health frontliners of the province for their dedication in helping COVID-19 patients and distributed facemasks, vitamins and food packs for the 1,494 workers of the R2TMC and 234 patients.

“I will continue to serve you for I believe that serving you is serving God. We only pass this world at once so we have to help those who are in need,” Go said.

He also visited the Local Government Unit of Bayombong and distributed various assistance for the poor.

The senator was welcomed by Nueva Vizcaya officials headed by Representative Luisa Cuaresma, Vice Governor Jose Gambito, Board Member Edgardo Balgos, Mayors Ronelie Valtoribio of Villaverde, Remelina Peros- Galam of Aritao, Philip Dacayo of Solano, Tony Sergio Bagasao of Bayombong, O’nel Danao of Ambaguio, Benjamin Calauad of Bagabag, Dolores Binwag of Quezon, Elizabeth Balasya of Kayapa, Vice Mayor Eddie Tiongson of Solano, Councilor Paolo Cayton who represented Mayor Timothy Cayton of Dupax del Norte and former Vice Governor Jose Tomas,Sr. and Ifugao LGU officials, among others.
