CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - 2 recently awarded P17, 774, 400 total cash grants to the beneficiaries of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa barangay - Cash for Work (KKB-CFW) program.

The awarding was held in the town’s gymnasium on April 1, 2023 led by DSWD -2 Director Lucia Alan with Benito Soliven Mayor Roberto Lungan and other officials of DSWD - 2 and LGU Benito Soliven.

Alan said the KALAHI-CIDSS KKB-CFW program is a financial support in exchange for the agreed community work, services and tasks rendered.

She said the program provides a short-term intervention, through temporary employment or a targeted cash transfer intervention for low income Persons With Disabilities or households with at least one member with disability, vulnerable, at risk, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, or affected by the disaster.

The DSWD also conducted the official groundbreaking for the barangay access road in Yeban Norte as a green light in starting the project. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
