The increased number of policemen on patrol is part of the PNP’s security plan dubbed "Ligtas Summer Vacation (Sumvac) 2023”, which encompasses  operations including road safety and motorist assistance, route security, traffic management, and anti-criminality along major travel routes, places of convergence, and tourist destinations.
