LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - Two Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI CIDSS) community sub-projects were turned over in Tinoc town recently.

Representatives from the municipal government and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) led the inauguration of the Bagaen - Bagingbing Farm to Market Road in barangay Dango and Pitican - Proper Luhong in barangay Luhong and witnessed by the residents.

These two sub-projects worth more than P1.6 million were completed through the joint and collaborative efforts of the community and the barangay local government units of Danggo and Luhong.  The Barangay Development Council-Technical Working Group and the municipality of Tinoc in partnership with the KALAHI-CIDSS National Community Driven Development Program of the DSWD led the projects.

Mayor Samson Benito enjoined the residents of the two barangays to ensure the proper management and protection of the projects for the benefit of everyone in the area and the municipality as a whole.

 “The government provided these projects so we must do also our role as community in safeguarding and maintaining our roads,” Benito said. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
