All MADACs in Quirino highly functional says ADAC Provincial Audit Team

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)- - Based on the results of the recent Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) assessment for CY 2022 conducted by the ADAC Provincial Audit Team (APT), six out of six (100%) of all Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (MADACs) are highly functional.

The APT, however, noted that only four or 67% have reached a 100-point overall performance score.

The DILG said that the assessment was conducted in a bid to continuously improve the performance of the ADACs in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of anti-illegal drug activities.

Furthermore, the ADAC Performance Audit aims to assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on existing issuances and policies; determine ADAC- initiated and/or -endorsed innovations, and best practices at all levels; create an evaluation, and assessment platform; and recognize effective, and performing ADACs.

As stated under DILG Memorandum Circular 2023-062, the audit assessed each LGU in terms of the following criteria: Organization of Local ADAC, Conduct of ADAC Meetings, Allocation of Funds for Anti-Illegal Drug Activities, Formulation and Implementation of ADAC Plans and Programs, Supervision and Support to Component ADACs, and Innovation/s.

The APT was composed of OIC Michael E. Camacam (DILG), PLTCOL Ramon M. Macarubbo, Jr. (PNP), IO I Algren B. Baltazar (PDEA) and Marlon B. Prado (CSO). Also present to provide technical assistance were LGMEU Chief Carolyn C. Mateo and LGOO II John Lambert A. Pascual. (TCB/PIA Quirino)
