More than 24,000 employment opportunities await jobseekers in 12 sites of Independence Day Job Fair in NCR

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) – More than 24,000 employment opportunities are available at the 12 sites of Independence Day Job Fairs in Metro Manila today.

The Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE) conducted the conduct of these Job Fairs with the Public Employment Service Offices of the Local Government Units.

More than 200 participating employers, jobseekers in Metro Manila can apply in the following job fair sites:

SM City Grand Central – Caloocan

Parañaque City Hall Gymnasium – Parañaque

SM City Southmall – Las Piñas

Robinsons Las Piñas – Las Piñas

Vista Mall – Taguig

SM City Marikina – Marikina

SM City Megamall – Mandaluyong

Rizal Gymnasium – Pasig

SM City Fairview – QC

SM City North EDSA – QC

SM City Novaliches – QC

SM City Sta. Mesa – QC

Participating employers come from various industries or Key Employment Generators in Metro Manila, such as the IT-BPM, Wholesale & Retail Trade, Hotel & Restaurant, Construction, Health & Wellness, and Transport & Logistics.

Available job opportunities include customer service representative, service crew, cashier, delivery driver, sales associate, IT staff, electrician, HR assistant, merchandiser, and office personnel.

Jobseekers are advised to prepare and bring the basic pre-employment requirements, especially resume.

Except in Quezon City sites, these are some of the government agencies who have confirmed their attendance on the event to offer one-stop-shop services including BIR (TIN), PSA (birth and marriage certificate), Pag-IBIG (advisory on housing and loan), SSS (advisory on social protection), TESDA (technical skills and development), and PhilHealth (advisory on policies).

In line with the theme of “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan,” the DOLE-NCR through its Manila Field Office will also hold a gift giving activity through Project Angel Tree for some 50 former child laborers and their parents in view of the “Araw ng Kalayaan para sa #BatangMalaya” campaign to end child labor.
