MANDAUE CITY, Cebu, July 1 (PIA) -- The Regional Association of Development Information Officers 7 (RADIO-7) has elected its new set of officers for 2023-2024 during the 2nd day of the 25th RADIO-7 Regional Conference on June 29 at Bai Hotel, Mandaue City.

San Francisco, Camotes Mayor Alfredo Arquillano Jr. administered the oath-taking ceremony for the newly-elected officers.

The newly-sworn officers are, namely: Risty Villahermosa as President; Alvin Duazo, Vice President; Ma. Lydia Bantugan, Secretary; Margaux dela Paz, Treasurer; Larry Evangelista, Auditor; and Doris Isabel Racho, Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors are, namely: Jesus Rey Cavalida, Chris Calumba, Gherelene Rafols, Kyle Durano, Mary Ann Dimayabao, and Lolito Bontigao.

The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) Usec. Terence Calatrava and Philippine Information Agency Central Visayas (PIA-7) Regional Head Fayette C. Riñen.

The induction of the new RADIO-7 officers was part of the League of the Municipalities (LMP) Night held at the Big Hotel, Mandaue City.

It was one of the highlights of the three-day RADIO-7 Regional Conference hosted by the Cebu Association of Municipal and City Public Information Officers (CAOCAMPIO).

This year’s regional convention had the theme "Strengthening Digital Information for Sustainable Tourism Development Towards Economic Recovery."

It was attended by over 100 public information and tourism officers from Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol, and Siquijor provinces. 

Next year’s RADIO-7 Regional Conference will be hosted by the Association of Negros Oriental Public Information Officers (ANOPIO). (RGC/PIA-7 Cebu)
