DAET, Camarines Norte -- A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was inked between TESDA, PNP, and Sarong Banggi to provide meat processing skills training to 50 beneficiaries from the six (6) priority barangays in Camarines Norte on Monday, July 10.
The said barangays are included in the 55 priority barangays of the National Task Force – End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) in the province of Camarines Norte. The six priority barangays include Talobatib, Labo; Malangcao, Basud; Lanot, Pambuhan, Colasi and Tarum of Mercedes. Another barangay from the capital town Daet will also be included in the skills training.
TESDA Public Information Officer Tobias M. Obrero said that of the 50 participants that will benefit from the training, this will be conducted in two batches with 25 persons each.
The MOA was inked by the Technical Skills and Development Authority Provincial Director Engr. Eduardo B. Bonagua, Philippine National Police- 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Deputy Force Commander PCpt. Arthur P. Yanto and Sarong Banggi Organization International Inc. Chairman Aries F. Babala.
Obrero said TESDA will provide the training skills and will issue a certificate of training to all participants while the SBOII will cover the cost of the training program. Identification of the participants and the venue will be managed by the PNP.
The collaborative efforts of TESDA, SBOII, and the PNP mark a significant milestone in the history of these organizations, he said.
