Vigor Mendoza is new LTO chief

MANILA, (PIA) -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed lawyer Vigor Mendoza II as the new chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

The Presidential Communications Office announced Mendoza's appointment on Wednesday, July 19.

He will serve in the post as assistant secretary.

Mendoza replaced Atty. Hector Villacorta who served as officer-in-charge of the LTO after the recent resignation of Jose Arturo "Jay Art" Tugade.

Mendoza is a former member of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Mendoza also served as a congressman representing the 1-UTAK party-list group.

The turnover ceremony is expected to be held on Monday, July 24. (PIA-NCR)
