QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) announced that the portions of the northbound and southbound directions of EDSA Bus Carousel, from Balintawak to Buendia Avenue will undergo emergency road repair due to observed damages caused by previous typhoons, and the ongoing effects of the monsoon rain in the National Capital Region (NCR).
According to DPWH-NCR, the repair will start on August 4, 2023 (Friday) at 10:00 PM until August 9, 2023 (Wednesday), 5:00 AM.
The DPWH NCR will conduct an asphalt overlay of 19,068 square meters of identified damaged roads, while 6,177.50 square meters will be subject to concrete reblocking.
During the duration of the emergency repair works, the public is advised that affected portions will be closed to traffic, and motorists may take alternative routes. Once completed, the DPWH-NCR will immediately open the closed portions of the bus lane for immediate use by the public.
The emergency road works will help instantly rectify damaged portions in the EDSA Bus Carousel, ensuring safe and convenient busways for commuters and proactive response to unexpected road inconveniences. (DPWH NCR/PIA-NCR)
