41 evacuees of Brgy. San Antonio, Tabaco City receive starter kits from TESDA Camarines Norte

DAET, CAMARINES NORTE: Forty-one evacuees from Brgy. San Antonio Evacuation Center in Tabaco City received a dishwashing liquid starter kit from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camarines Norte recently.

The said kit will which will teach the recipients  how to make dishwashing liquid   will provide evacuees with an opportunity to establish their own businesses and earn a living even while in the evacuation center.  The value of the distributed starter kits  amounted to  P21,000.

The starter kits are specially procured through the sponsorship of the Philippine Academy of Technical Studies Inc. Longevity Institute of Technical Skills, Inc., and other members of the Camarines Norte Alliance of Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs).

TESDA Provincial Director, Engr. Eduardo B. Bonagua inspired recipients to seize the opportunity and utilize the starter kit as a launching pad for their own entrepreneurial ventures.

He encouraged them to produce and sell the dishwashing liquid in the local market and even explore online sales, empowering them to support their families and contribute to their husbands' livelihood.

Allan E. Pantua of Hope Science and Technology College Corp. emphasized the significance of the livelihood opportunity through the starter kits as a stepping stone toward financial stability.

He also urged the recipients to maximize the options to generate additional income for their families.

Pantua expressed his hope that the positive impact of this support will last beyond their stay at the evacuation center, continuing to thrive and prosper in the days to come.

Brgy. Magapo Kagawad Arsenio B. Briagas Jr. also expressed his gratitude for the benevolent gesture made by the Alliance of TVIs in the province of Camarines Norte.

Zosimo Buenconsejo of LGU-Tabaco City who represented Mayor Cielo Krisel Lagman Luistro acknowledged the good deeds of the alliance and extended his thanks to the TESDA Camarines Norte Provincial Office for their valuable assistance in the  said charitable endeavor. 

Buenconsejo is also the manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and designate Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) of LGU-Tabaco City.

Optimism and hope were also observed from the evacuees who departed with smiles on their faces, eager to embark on their new business ventures.

Senior TESD Specialist Tobias M. Obrero, Jr. played a pivotal role in hosting the short program. Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Philippine National Police (PNP), and other barangay officials were present to witness the event and showed their collective support and collaboration with various organizations and agencies in the community.  

The TESDA Provincial Office Camarines Norte remains committed to serving the community and empowering individuals/personnel with opportunities that create sustainable livelihoods. This meaningful initiative reflects the collaborative efforts of the private sector and government institutions in fostering a better future for those in need.
