KBP-Pangasinan Chapter to hold broadcasTreeing, medical-dental service

DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – As part of their participation in environmental protection, the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan chapter will hold its annual tree planting activity to be followed by delivery of free dental and medical services to the people in Balungao town.
 
The activities dubbed “Oplan BroadcasTreeing” and “Oplan KBP – Kapwa, Bayanihan, Pagdadamayan Dental and Medical Mission” are scheduled on Saturday, August 19 at Mt. Balungao in Barangay San Andres and at Mayor Jose C. Peralta Sr. Hall in Barangay Poblacion, respectively.
 
“We are expecting to plant around 2,000 fruit-bearing trees – assorted iyon at mag-start tayo ng 6 a.m. First time rin kaming magkakaroon ng Oplan KBP dental and medical mission in partnership sa LGU-Balungao with Mayor Riza Peralta, regional director ng LTO-Region 1 Sir Danny Martinez, at syempre and DENR,” Jay Miguel Mendoza, president of the KBP-Pangasinan chapter said, adding that the greening program is open to volunteers and not limited to media practitioners.
 

The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan Chapter will hold a dental and medical mission in Balungao, Pangasinan on August 19.

Interested volunteers are advised to bring their own equipment such as bolo and shovel and their towel and are requested to arrive at the assembly area by 5:30 a.m. at the Balungao Municipal Center for a short program and instructions.
 
Participants may also contact any KBP-Pangasinan member stations for early registration or seat reservation as the coaster has a limited seating capacity of 25 persons only.
 
A certificate of participation will be given after the event.
 
Meanwhile, residents in Balungao town and other participants in the event are encouraged to avail of free medical and dental check-ups from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
The ‘broadcastreeing’ activity was previously conducted in San Manuel town (2011); San Fabian town (2012); along Pantal and Dawel Rivers in Dagupan City (2013); Bonuan Tondaligan Beach in Dagupan City (2014); Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape at Barangay Malabobo in Mangatarem town (2015); Sobol Village in San Fabian town (2016); at the Angalacan River in Barangays Embarcadero, Nibaliw, and Tebag in Mangaldan town (2017); Pugaro Village in Balungao town (2018); Mt. Zion Pilgrim Mountain in Bugallon town (2019); Inmalog Village in San Fabian town (2020); and Daang Kalikasan in Mangatarem town (2022).
 
Other activities conducted by the KBP-Pangasinan chapter are journalism seminars or workshops, member accreditation, blood donation drives, and forums where guests from national government agencies and local government units can discuss updates on their activities or programs.
