Gov’t  agencies bring Serbisyo Caravan  to 2 barangays in Conner

BAGUIO CITY(PIA) -- The local government of Conner continues to bring government services and programs closer to the people thru the conduct of the Serbisyo Caravan .

More than 400 residents of  barangays Banban and Puguin benefitted from the recent  Serbisyo Caravan spearheaded by the local government of Conner in partnership with the different government offices in  the municipality.

The residents availed of free medical and dental consultations and services including free medicines. Young boys also availed of the “libreng tuli” or free circumcision and haircut.

Other services  included  Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture registration, animal insurance, land survey, enrollment for technical vocational courses thru the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and distribution of  national  identification cards.

The Conner Municipal Police Station  also conducted lectures on children’s rights and on how to protect themselves from danger.

Mayor Jorico Bayaua said the activity is part of the continuing efforts of the LGU  to reach out to the people in barangays by bringing public services to them in their localities. He said the LGU partnered with national line agencies, the provincial government of Apayao and the law enforcement agencies  to bring their programs and services in the identified barangays.

Among the offices present  include the Philippine Army 98th Infantry Battalion, the Conner MPS, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company  Turayok, TESDA, Department of Education, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Bureau of Fire Protection. They gave a briefing on the services and programs they are providing to the public.

Also present were DILG-Apayao Provincial Director Mayer Max Adong and Conner Sanggunian Bayan Members led by Vice Mayor Alexander Aswigue.
