Quirino Online Store now open

CABARRGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - After its official launch in Mandaluyong City recently, top-selling products of this province can now be accessed at the Quirino Province Online Shopee Store through https://shopee.ph/quirino_best.

Among the products being sold online are those that are produced by the Micro, Small and medium Enterprises, farmer organizations, women organizations as well as the just launched Q-LiFE products such processed foods, bread, coffee, tea, chocolates, home decors, gifts, and furniture.

It can be recalled that Shopee partnered with the League of Provinces of the Philippines or LPP under the leadership of National Chairman Dakila Carlo E. Cua to digitize MSMEs and the collaboration is being piloted in Quirino.

Cua said he is hoping that the Quirinians will be able to feel the significance of the said partnership adding that despite being a third-class province, Quirino has so much opportunities to be offered for the development of the MSMEs.

“We will prove that our products are world-class quality.  With the help of our Korean partners, DTI, CITEM, and other product development partners, we can further improve the quality of our products and these products will promote the way of life or culture of our province,” Cua said.

The governor further said by partnering with Shopee, he is hopeful that Quirino will leapfrog into the future of the digital age, in helping the farmers, producers, manufacturers, businessmen, and women of Quirino connect with a bigger market.

“Thru Shopee which is obviously the biggest and most prominent online shopping platform in the Philippines including Southeast Asia, Quirino producers can access the entire market and the whole country,” Cua added.

For her part, Karen Perez, head of Human Resource Center of Excellence of Shopee Philippines has expressed happiness about the partnership and on the launching of the first LGU shop on Shopee.

“Beyond the platform, we put in place programs and tools to take care of our sellers. We train them, educate them, and push for growth the Shopee way. And this is where our partnership with the Quirino province and Honorable Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua truly shines,” Perez said.

Perez shared that Shopee held a guided onboarding session for some Quirino PLGU personnel and entrepreneurs for them to learn the ins and outs of having a store on Shopee.

“At the core of everything we do at Shopee, we look for ways to live out our mission to better the lives of Filipino communities through technology,” Perez said as she thanked Quirino province and Governor Cua for sharing the same mission with Shopee. (OTB/TCB/PIA-2, QUIRINO)
