SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) -- The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) here encourages Antiqueño families to strengthen relationships as the country observes National Family Week from Sept. 25-29.

The annual celebration, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 60, Series of 1992, seeks to emphasize the importance of strengthening and promoting unity, solidarity, and stability of the family as the most basic unit of society.

ERPAT highlights the role of fathers in the different aspects of child development, including emotional support and behavior management, and not just in securing financial resources needed for growth and survival.

Other related services from the PSWDO are Parent Effectiveness Service (PES), Services to Solo Parents, Youth, and Children, and guidance and counseling on family issues and concerns, which may be availed of in Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (LSWDO) throughout the province.

The Seguera-Delgado family of Hamtic town representing Antique in the search was identified as the regional winner of Western Visayas and was eventually declared as the national winner and the 2023 Natatanging Pamilyang Pilipino.
