TACLOBAN CITY (PIA) -- The Travelink Travel and Tours, a newly established travel agency in Basey, Samar, unveiled its travel agency packages valued for money at a very affordable price at Madison Park Hotel, San Jose, Tacloban City, on October 5.

The travel agency tagged their travel packages as a ‘tourism loop,’ wherein each tour package will start from a specific place and then hop from one tourist spot to another in a loop shape until the tourist reaches the last destination.

Tourism Loop 1 covers a one-day ‘Miss U Philippines’ package tour to Sohoton Cave, Saob Cave, Natural Bridge Park, Century-old Buscada Chapel, Bungang Sakit Well, Century-old St. Michael Parish Church, Souvenir Shops, and San Juanico Bridge.

Tourism Loop 2 covers a one-day ‘Golden River’ package tour to Bungang Sakit Well, St. Michael the Archangel Church, Buscada Chapel, Saob Cave, Golden River Cruise, Balantak Falls, and San Juanico Bridge.

Tourism Loop 3, soon to offer, covers a one-day ‘Pacific/Island’ package tour to Mahaba Islet or Sandbar, St. Michael the Archangel Church, Buscada Chapel, Marabut Rock Formation, and San Juanico Bridge.

The overall tour package highlights the home of Sohoton Cave, Natural Bridge Park, and the Banig Capital of the Philippines – Basey, Samar. Eventually, the agency will extend its loops to other places in Leyte, Samar, and Biliran provinces.

Tourists can avail the Tourism Loop 1 package worth P1,985 and the Tourism Loop 2 package worth P2,100 per head with a minimum of 10 persons for each loop. The travel agency is still finalizing the details in Tourism Loop 3.

However, tourists who want packages with less than 10 persons can still avail of the agency’s services as ‘joiners’ on a weekend schedule.

In addition, the packages include a sumptuous lunch, transport from the pickup point to Basey and vice-versa, entrance and environmental fees, travel insurance, and a trained escort or guide.

In a Facebook review, Januz Loreto mentioned his wonderful time with the tour company. The staff went above and beyond to ensure he had everything he needed. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, he gave a five out of five rating.

Travelink Travel and Tours materialized in 2022 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. They started with domestic and international ticketing, expanded their services with domestic and international hotel bookings, passport and visa assistance, and later revamped their services with this tourism loop.

Participants from the different government agencies, schools, hotel and transport operators, and media practitioners shared their message of support. They also signed the pledge of commitment to support the development and implementation of the tourism loop.

In a statement, Darlene B. Wong, proprietor and operations manager of Travelink Travel and Tours, hoped that this coordination and partnership would be sustained not just in a few months but in years to come, focusing more on tourism development like this which could also awaken employment opportunities.
