Julius Emperador, PSA Isabela Chief Statistical Specialist, said that the motorcade was participated by Local Civil Registrars from the different cities and municipalities in the province including some of their employees.
Emperador said that the activity is pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 647, "Declaring the Month of October of Every Year as the National Statistics Month,” which aims to promote, enhance, and instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society and elicit the cooperation and support of the general-public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country.
The theme for this year’s National Statistics Month celebration is “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines.”
“PSA Isabela expresses elation for the participation of the Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) members and the City and Municipal Civil Registrars in the province during our kick off activity through motorcade,” Emprerador added.
He urged institutions in the province to organize and participate in that various activities that will highlight the significance of statistics and conduct educational activities that promote statistical literacy among learners and students. He also said that private sectors may contribute their expertise and support to ensure a vibrant and inclusive celebration. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
