In a public advisory amid reports of this duping activity, DSWD 6 Regional Director lawyer Carmelo Nochete issued the said warning for the beneficiaries and the general public not to be swayed following reports received by his office in relation to the distribution of the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

“Binabalaan ng DSWD ang publiko na huwag magpapaloko sa mga indibidwal at grupo na mga ito. Ang ipinamimigay na AICS o Assistance to individuals in Crisis Situation ay para lamang sa mga kwalipikadong indibidwal na nasa krisis na sitwasyon,” said Nochete in the advisory.

Notchete stressed that the aid beneficiaries receive is solely intended for them and must not be reduced or deducted.

The DSWD6 chief also emphasized that the department does not endorse any politician or party list; thus, the public must not be swayed by the threat of removing their names from the list of beneficiaries.

“Kapag mayroong nananakot na tanggalin kayo sa listahan ng benepisyaryo ng aming programa, ito ay pawang kasinungalingan dahil DSWD lang ang maaaring magtanggal sa inyo sa listahan at iyan ay sa dahilang may paglabag sa panuntunan o kaya ay naging maunlad na ang inyong pamumuhay,” he stressed.
