QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- Members of youth organizations from Barangay Daniel Fajardo joined a special trip to the Las Piñas Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPWP), organized by Senator Cynthia A. Villar's office. The goal is to teach them about the importance of wetlands and why it's crucial to take care of places like the LPPWP.
During the visit, the youth learned how the wetland park helps stop floods, cleans water, and gives homes to different plants and animals. They even got to try bird watching, learning about the many birds that call the park home.
Being involved in activities that take care of nature is super important for young people. When they join trips like these or go bird watching, it helps them feel responsible for the environment. Plus, it gives them the power to protect it. Young minds bring new ideas and can make a big difference in keeping places like the LPPWP safe and healthy.
The park's management office, along with groups like the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines and the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands, thanked volunteer groups for helping in the clean up and supporting the wetland park.
