DTI distributes P440-K worth of livelihood kits to ‘Odette’-hit MSMEs in Palawan

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – MIMAROPA extended aid to the first batch of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette in Puerto Princesa City.

A total of 55 MSMEs each received P8,000 worth of sari-sari store items / package under DTI’s Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB). The following ‘Odette’-hit barangays in Puerto Princesa City were covered during the first run of the distribution for the recent typhoon victims: Tagburos, Liwanag, Sta. Lourdes, San Manuel, San Rafael, San Pedor, San Jose, and Langogan.

LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that allows a wider reach of business development assistance by bringing government services closer to the people through partnerships between relevant local government units and DTI officials. DTI MIMAROPA believes that the LSP-NSB supports the whole of government approach wherein public agencies related to supporting inclusive business ecosystem work across portfolio boundaries and mandate to encourage entrepreneurial activities and integrated government assistance.

The provincial office of DTI MIMAROPA in Palawan has set additional LSP-NSB activities to cover more municipalities and barangays. (DTI)
