Philippine Red Cross deploys emergency medical services teams to Ironman Cebu 2022

MANDALUYONG CITY -- The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) deployed 50 emergency medical services (EMS) and welfare personnel in seven locations today to provide emergency medical care and welfare services as 2,000 athletes participate in the world-renowned triathlon event Ironman in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The event started at 5:00 am today and is expected to culminate at 3:00 pm.

The PRC has deployed four ambulance units and seven first aid stations with trained EMS personnel. It has also deployed seven welfare stations with trained psychological first aid personnel.

The EMS personnel are stationed in BE Resort, Mövenpick Hotel, Emerald Bay Resort, Brgy. Hall Zone 5, Dusit Thani (Entrance), Dusit Thani (Park), and Dusit Thani (Parking lot).
