CATARMAN, Northern Samar -- In order to protect employees from severe risk against COVID-19 virus and in order to support the Department of Health's Nationwide Booster Vaccination Campaign, the employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways - Northern Samar First DEO (DPWH-NSFDEO) availed themselves of the first booster jabs against COVID-19 at DPWH-NSFDEO office.

District Engineer Mario Villena said the district office has initiated booster vaccination accessible to the employees by requesting the medical team from Northern Samar Provincial Health Office to come to the office to conduct booster vaccination for employees.

“Employees will no longer wait for long lines at the Hospital and other local vaccination sites just to get the booster shots, as long as they are employees of this office, they are eligible for the first booster shot. They only need to present their vaccination cards showing the dates of their first and second dose,” DE Villena said.

A total of 102 employees availed their first booster shots of Pfizer vaccine.

To recall, the same medical team also administered the 1st and 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccination last year. Villena expressed his gratitude to the Department of Health (DOH) - Northern Samar Provincial Health Office for their tireless support for the district's drive to vaccinate its employees.
