PILI, Camarines Sur (PIA) -- The shear line affecting most parts of Camarines Sur has caused immense flooding in the province’s low-lying towns and municipalities, forcing residents to seek temporary shelter at various evacuation centers.
As of press time, there is a total of 122 families (395) persons from the municipalities of Tinambac, Lagonoy, and Calabanga, Camarines Sur. Three (3) families from Bagacay, Tinambac are currently at RIC Building, while 41 families from Sta. Maria, Lagonoy temporarily sought shelter at the Kalahi Evacuation Center.
Seventy-eight (78) families from Calabanga's three barangays were affected by the heavy flooding: One (1) family from Brgy. San Antonio, Poblacion stayed at the Barangay Hall; 37 families took shelter at the Calabanga West Central School, while 40 are currently staying at Camuning Elementary School.


Spillways also overflowed. The San Pedro-Poblacion and Poblacion to Barrera Jr in Lupi and Brgy. Tomagodtod spillways going to Sitio Ilihan in Calabanga are not currently passable. Spillways at Brgy. Napawon and Camuning in Calabanga also overflowed but are still passable.
Sitio Caguiscan, Brgy. Loho road in Lagonoy is not passable to light vehicles.
PDRRMC also reported a land slide along the Lagonoy-Presentacion Road, San Sebastian, Lagonoy section, where only one lane is passable.
Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi R. Villafuerte raised the Red Alert Status and directed all Chief Executives, MDRRMC Chairpersons, Punong Barangays, BDRRMC chairpersons, and PDRRMC agencies to activate their respective Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and closely monitor any hazards in their areas of jurisdiction.
PDRRMC also activated the Communication Group to ensure that all advisories and information in connection with the local weather occurrence currently affecting the province, are cascaded to all municipalities and barangays. (With reports from PRRRMC/EDMERO-PIA5/Camarines Sur)
