Every 30th of November, we commemorate the birthday of Andres Bonifacio. His life was short-lived, however, it was a meaningful one. Out of love for our country, Andres Bonifacio’s actions transformed Philippine history.  

A revolutionary hero from Tondo, let’s take a look at Andres Bonifacio’s useful life lessons.

1. Don’t give up easily
Being an orphan at the age of fourteen, Andres Bonifacio took the responsibility of raising his siblings. He had to work several jobs, such as making and peddling paper fans and wooden canes, to meet their family’s daily needs. His situation didn’t stop him from wanting to learn by reading during his free time.

He showed us that being responsible and mature doesn’t come with age, because it is a matter of making the right decisions when faced with a difficult situation.

2. Contribute to your community
To inform the Filipinos about the country’s true state, Andres Bonifacio distributed revolutionary flyers at the University of Santo Tomas. He actively participated in igniting the Filipino’s desire for freedom. 

3. Love your own
Bonifacio advocated in using Tagalog when writing his essays, such as "Ang Dapat Mabatid ng mga Tagalog" and "Pag-ibig sa Tinubuang Lupa."

4. Do not waste your time when working
Andres Bonifacio believes for private and public services to be delivered efficiently and effectively, workers should be hardworking and time-oriented because the development of our country and the progress of society depends on them.
