Need things to add to your 2023 new year’s resolutions?

The start of a new year is a perfect time to make healthier choices, quit bad habits, and boost your overall well-being.

Make resolutions that will enhance your health and become your lifestyle over time.

Here are attainable goals you can add to your 2023 New Year’s resolutions:

The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) of the Department of Science and Technology created a scientifically supported yet easy method to guide Filipino families in their meals to address malnutrition and nutrient deficiency.

This nutrition tool, Pinggang Pinoy, aims to assist in meal-by-meal food preparation. It is a color-coded plate with portions of various food groups that should be on each plate. The meal plan, divided into multiple categories, offers Filipino families a simple-to-follow menu that can be customized for any meal. It also considers the three food types that comprise the average body's nutritional needs: Go, Glow, and Grow.

Sitting less and moving more is an easy way to become more active. You can work out if you have a few minutes because any level of physical activity positively affects your health. You'll gradually start to feel better as you increase your physical activity.

Good sleep strengthens your immune system and encourages mental well-being by giving your mind time to rest and recharge. You may improve your chances of getting the required rest by creating a peaceful sleeping environment, establishing a relaxing bedtime routine, and minimizing screen time before bed. (PIA-NCR)
