Philippine Information Agency Director-General Ramon Lee Cualoping III on Wednesday delivered a statement during the 57th Meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Committee on Culture and Information (ASEAN-COCI) in Vietnam.

In his message, DG Cualoping stressed the importance of the ASEAN’s role in improving people’s access to digital technology. He also underscored the urgent need to further promote digital literacy to ensure a safe platform that promotes general welfare and prosperity.
DG Cualoping also reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to ensuring and sustaining access to information, fighting disinformation, digital inclusivity, and maximizing the use of digital resources for people’s active participation and engagement to nation building.
