6 rebel returnees avail financial assistance from OrMin LGU
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- Under the Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), six rebel returnees availed recently the P15,000 immediate assistance and P50,000 livelihood assistance from the provincial government, a total of P65,000 each.
E-CLIP is a government program that aims to help members of the CPP-NPA-NDF and Militia ng Bayan (MB) to restore their allegiance to the Philippine government.
Provincial Task Force-to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Chairman Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor led the awarding of livelihood assistance to the rebel returnees.
In his message, Gov. Dolor assured that the local government is always supporting the endeavors of all rebels who want to join the government in maintaining peace and order and cooperate with them to truly achieve the vision of inclusive and lasting peace.

The livelihood assistance given by the government will be used by the rebel returnees in reintegrating back to their communities, reunite with their families and start new, normal lives.
With the governor during the awarding ceremonies, were representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and 4th Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
