AgNor LGU champions COVID-19 vaccination for locals

BUTUAN CITY -- Residents of the municipality of Buenavista in Agusan del Norte are now eager to get vaccinated, Municipal Mayor Amy Pagaspas said on Tuesday, June 30, 2021.

During her interview with the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar for the Network Briefing News, the lady mayor said that locals are now more accepting of the vaccines for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and have expressed readiness to receive it.

“Our constituents are ready to be vaccinated. Our A4 is also ready for the schedule,” Mayor Pagaspas said.

Mayor Pagaspas also personally advocates for the vaccination. She recently received her COVID-19 jab on June 5, 2021, having been administered with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The mayor is set to receive her second dose on August 13, 2021.

The local government unit continues its information drive for the vaccination to encourage more locals.

“We are intensifying our call for the vaccination through the leg work of our barangay officials and health workers and also through our airwaves through our local radio station,” said the town mayor. (DMNR/PIA-Caraga)
