QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Former President Fidel V. Ramos (FVR), aged 92, successfully completed his vaccination against COVID-19 after receiving the 2nd dose of Sinovac’s CoronaVac at De La Salle Santiago Zobel vaccination site in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City last Friday, June 25. 

Ramos is part of the A2 priority group, or Senior Citizens aged 60 years old and above, of the government’s prioritization framework for the national vaccination program.

Dr. Lester Suntay, a barangay council member of Ayala Alabang where FVR is a resident, administered his COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, this initiative of the former chief executive to have himself inoculated is a positive contribution to the heightening of vaccine confidence that will help achieve the population protection or herd immunity of the country.
