QUEZON CITY -- Arriving fully vaccinated individuals from “green” countries are required to undergo a seven-day quarantine, said Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei B. Nograles, Co-Chairman of Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).
“Effective July 1, all arriving fully vaccinated individuals in the Philippines, regardless of travel history, and those vaccinated abroad who stayed exclusively in “Green” countries/jurisdictions (classified by the DOH as low-risk countries/jurisdictions) shall undergo a seven (7) day facility-based quarantine upon arrival, with the date of arrival being the first day,” he said during the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) town hall session on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, fully vaccinated individuals coming to the country who stayed out of the ‘green’ countries/jurisdictions shall comply with the prescribed ten-day testing and quarantine protocols.
Those who qualified for the 7-day quarantine must undergo a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) on the fifth day for monitoring purposes. Upon completing the quarantine period, they will be issued a DOH certificate that will allow them unhampered passage going to their local destinations.
