QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The National Planetarium Exhibition Hall officially resumed its operating hours.
Walk-in visitors aged 15 years old and above including those with disabilities are allowed to be admitted but the National Planetarium is strictly imposing a capacity limit of 20 persons per session that lasts for about 30 minutes. Fully vaccinated senior citizens are also permitted to visit provided that they will present their COVID-19 full vaccination card upon entry.
Persons with temperature of 37.5 degrees celcius and above will not be permitted to enter the hall premises similar to visitors who are exhibiting COVID-like symptoms during the time of visit as everyone is advised to accomplish a health declaration form through StaySafePh mobile application for contact tracing purposes.
Meanwhile, minimum health protocols are expected to be observed by visitors such as the wearing of face masks and face shields as well as maintaining a 2-meter social distance between one another especially those who belong in different households.
The reopening of National Planetarium after more than a year of temporary closure starting March 2020 due to the pandemic outbreak is in light of the eased restrictions within the National Capital Region (NCR) which currently remains under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status until July 15.
The visiting schedule is from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the morning session and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the afternoon session.
Aside from the National Planetarium, three other museums in Manila namely the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of Anthropology were first to reopen in the previous month. (PIA-NCR/with reports from OJT Janna Pineda)
