KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato (PIA) -- About 10,000 individuals in South Cotabato will be added to the number of fully vaccinated healthcare workers, senior-citizens, and immuno-compromised persons beginning this week until July 19.
This, after the Department of Health - Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region (DOH-CHD XII) delivered 9,650 vials of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine to the province on Monday.
According to the South Cotabato Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), the latest batch of vaccines are intended for individuals in A1, A2, and A3 priority groups across the province who received their first jab of COVID-19 vaccine from the June 16 vaccine delivery which included 2,650 in Koronadal City, 1,000 in Polomolok, 1,000 in Sto. Niño, 500 in Norala, 500 in and Tantangan. A total 4,000 vials were shared among the remaining six LGUs, namely, Tampakan, Tupi, Lake Sebu, Surallah, Banga, and Tboli.
Data from South Cotabato IPHO, indicate that as of June 12, some 27,067 individuals in South Cotabato have already received the required two shots of COVID-19 vaccine -- 11,272 with Sinovac and 15,795 with Oxford AstraZeneca.
Some 29,709 more have been given their first dose and are currently waiting for their schedule for the second dose. (PIA XII)
