QUEZON CITY - Labor Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III and World Vision Executive Director Rommel Fuerte inked a memorandum of agreement, Tuesday, July 13  to address the worst forms of child labor, including online sexual exploitation of children and violations of acceptable conditions of work.

The World Vision Development Foundation launched in September 2020 a 4-year United States Department of Labor funded project called “Project Against Child Exploitation” or Project ACE.

Project ACE will work with DOLE and government partners to improve enforcement of the legal framework and policies, improve assistance services for victims, and strengthen collaboration to address the worst forms of child labor.

The government aims to free about 630,000 children from illegal labor by 2022.
