PASIG CITY, (PIA) -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region’s (DSWD-NCR) Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) field office has distributed over 693,000 food packs across Metro Manila.
According to DSWD-NCR, as of July 15, a total of 693,013 Family Food Packs (FFPs) and 60,228 Non-Food Items (NFIs) as augmentation assistance to local government units (LGUs) and other partner stakeholders.
The augmentation assistance amounting to P391,922,924.20 provides for the needs of Filipino families who are in need during the community quarantine in Metro Manila due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To recall, the provision of augmentation assitance has been part of DSWD-NCR's mandate to provide technical assistance and resource augmentation to local government units.
The regional agency also continues to coordinate and collaborate with concerned LGUs and other stakeholders to determine other appropriate assistance that the affected residents may need to ease their situation. (DSWD-NCR/PIA-NCR)
