MANILA, (PIA) -- The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has assured the safety and security of Metro Manila during the conduct of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's 6th State of the Nation Address on July 26 in Quezon City.
In line with this, the Quezon City Police District of NCRPO conducted the Ugnayan (Dialogue) with community leaders and stakeholders over the weekend at Max’s Restaurant along Quezon Avenue to ensure security, law and order for the upcoming SONA 2021 and the opening of the 2nd Regular Session of the 18th Congress at the Batasang Pambansa.
Guidelines on IATF Protocols and Security plan including traffic management and other related measures to ensure the successful conduct of this year’s SONA have been laid down during the dialogue.
Aside from enhancing the essence of cooperation and collaboration between the PNP and community leaders and stakeholders, participants collaborated into achieving an orderly and peaceful SONA 2021.

Yarra assured that despite the new health and safety protocols, the NCRPO will exert all efforts to prevent any untoward incidents.
The success of the SONA will also be the success of the nation as a whole, he said.
Before the meeting finally adjourned, the attendees agreed to schedule a small group meeting prior to SONA to finalize what best practice that needs to be done to ensure a peaceable assembly during the SONA 2021. (NCRPO/PIA-NCR)
